Grandma and Grandpa are here!!

We have had a great weekend with Jeff's parents, George and Marilyn! They are stopping off here in Denver before returning home to San Mateo after being on vacation for over a month. We are so excited to see them and we have been showing them around Colorado.

On Saturday we decided to head up to the Georgetown Loop a great steam train route that was once used for local silver mining, now it is just a great site seeing trip. Cameron had such an amazing day as did we all with the spectacular scenery!

Cameron even got his photo taken with the Conductor, so fun!

Here is a little video from the trip!

We then headed up to Vail for a some lunch. With all it's hanging baskets and beautiful scenery it is just a great place to visit!

We all got to experience a first for Cameron this weekend. We just took off his training wheels and he has learned to ride his bike on his own! He is very excited as are we:)

Also, keeping you updated on our little bird out back, she finally had here baby. We have been watching here bring little worms to the new baby and the kids love it. Ashley has named her little baby:)

Happy Birthday Cameron!!

I can hardly believe that Cameron is now 7!! Time needs to slow down:) We had a great day celebrating Mr. C's birthday. We ended the day with a great family dinner followed by opening presents and cake and ice cream! Thank you for all the cards/presents and calls he loved it all!!

Cameron decided he wanted Lemon cake for his birthday so Ashley wanted to make it for him. She is such a great helper, especially when you ask her is she wants to lick the spoon:)

Also keeping everybody updated on Miss Ladybug our little robin outside. We are still waiting on possible babies. Cameron waited outside for a half hour today very quietly and snapped this picture of her.

Hail Storm!

Last week we had thunderstorms every evening that were just amazing!! On Thursday afternoon we were under a severe thunderstorm warning when all of a sudden it started hailing like I have never seen before:) The kids were very excited so I decided to get some video of it.

Trains, trains and more trains!!

As you know Cameron has a small obsession with trains, ok a big obsession! Jeff found out that up in Greeley ( a town about a hour or so from us) there was the largest train layout in the state. So we headed on up for the day. It was such a great place and we were all impressed with how much work had been put into the entire layout!

Cameron was even more excited when he discovered it was right next to the actual train tracks running through town. As we got out of the car a huge freight train came by and the engineer waved and honked at the kids, very cool!

We spent about two hours roaming around looking at all the trains and checking out the displays.

They even had a restored red caboose that we got to walk through.

Needless to say Cameron was very happy when he left! It is great to watch him get so excited about something he loves so much:)

We also got to visit with our good friends the Weber's one more time before they headed home to San Diego. The kids had a great morning at Chuck E. Cheese.

One more quick fun thing from our week. We have a new residence here at Casa Cintel. A little robin (which Ashley has named miss ladybug:) has made a nest just above our electric panel outside. Miss ladybug has made it very clear that she is here to stay and doesn't like when we walk by!! We are hoping she has some babies, the kids are very excited. I snapped this photo last night. We will keep you posted on what happens!

Friends and the Fourth!

What a great weekend celebrating the 4th! We spent alot of time with some new friends as well as our amazing friends from San Diego the Weber's.

Friday night we went over to have dinner and fireworks with our new friends the Pezel's. Matt and Trish's daughter Lauren was in Cameron's class at school and funny enough Matt went to Oregon and graduated the same year that Jeff did. What a great night, so fun.

After dinner we went out in front and had a little fireworks show. It was great since this was the first time the kids have been able to have sparklers. Needless to say they loved it!!

Both Matt and Jeff suffered for the kids and were left with some hurt fingers from the sparklers! Trish became the nurse and administered the band aids, poor boy's. Glad they had beer!:)

On Saturday we went over to our neighbors house were a bunch of the neighborhood was setting off fireworks. The kids even got to make smores, yummy!

On Sunday we took a drive up behind Pike's Peak and got to check out a cool Fossil Park. The kids enjoyed some ice cream on the road. Also check out this beautiful Elk he was just off the road.

On the fourth we got to have our friends from San Diego the Weber's over for a little celebrating! It was so great to see them! We miss you guys:)
