Valentine's Day!

This year we had a friendly love cupid visit our house starting on February 1st! Her name was Lucy and everyday she would leave the kids little notes and sometimes she would even bring treats! Such a good cupid:)

Ashley making her mailbox for Lucy!!

Lucy's first note to the kids! She just wanted to let them know how much they are loved!! How cute:)

On Valentines Day she left a farewell note along with some candy hearts! See you next year Lucy!!

The kids both had Valentines Day parties at school! I was only able to help out in Ashley's room but Cameron had a blast! They both come home with a ton of candy, when did Valentines Day turn into a second Halloween!!:)

Ashley stopped dancing long enough for me to snap this photo!

Silly faces:)

It would not be a a proper Valentines Day without special pink cupcakes!!

Pinewood Derby!!

I am not sure who looks forward to the Pinewood Derby more, Jeff or Cameron:) This is the second year Cameron has been involved in the Pinewood Derby. Last year he painted it with his beloved Packers colors but this year since the Packers were out we went with his second favorite team, the Niners!! It was so funny at one point he went up against a Detroit Lion car and a Green Bay car!! The Scoutmaster kept telling Cameron he had an awesome car in front of the crowd, he is big Niners fan himself:)  Cameron did great and finished 8th out 14 cars! In some of his races he came in 2nd out of 4 cars! He even won an award for best design in the sports division!! Jeff does such a great job working with Cameron each year to complete the car. This year Ashley was also very involved in helping create the car. So fun!

Finished car!!

Waiting to see how his car will run

Zoo Day!

We decided to take advantage of the free day at the Denver Zoo this year! I was so fun to get out and see the animals! Since it was on Super Bowl Sunday it was not as busy, so we got to see the whole park before we headed home to cheer on the Niners!!

What a fun day, it would have been better if the Niners would have won. Maybe next year!!!!

Ashley's 6th Birthday!

Ashley turned 6 in January and it is still hard to believe that she is getting so big!! She is turning into a young lady in front of me. Full of energy, her own opinions , love and her incredible fashionista style!!!! I am loving watching her grow, even though I would love for time to slow down!!! It feels like just yesterday that I was holding her in my arms as a little baby!!

We should all be so lucky to have a 6th birthday like miss A. It wasn't just one day this year it was for an entire month!!! We started out in San Mateo just after Christmas with a family celebration with the Cintel/Norton Clan. Then followed a classroom celebration, her actual birthday and then about a week later that was followed by a big party at Chuck E. Cheese!! Wow!! Here are some pictures from the whole month:)
Birthday Morning!! "Mommy, I love balloons"!!

It was great because here birthday fell on a school holiday so we all got to spend the day together!

Ashley really wanted to go to Build a Bear for her birthday this year! So off we went:)
She picked out a rabbit, she had to give him a proper bath before we could bring him home:)

Yes, the rabbit has a wedding dress (complete with veil:)

Cameron has had a turtle from Build a Bear since he was 2! Turtle has gone everywhere with him since this point! So we got an upgraded outfit for him. No surprise, it was a football outfit!

That night we headed out for dinner when Jeff got home! We had a blast and the waitress even brought Ashley a special birthday desert!! Yummy!!

Our big trip started off in Phoenix with a visit with my best friend Liz and her family! Even though it was just for a hour it was so great to see everyone and catch up. The kids had a blast hanging out and the first thing they said when they got back in the car was that they wanted to go back to play with Cara and Connor:)
